Roger Goodell, Can Michael Vick Come Out and Play?
In today’s society of anything goes, it is a dirty shame that we are tapping our toes as we wait and wonder if they are going to let Michael Vick return to his job, career, livelihood and profession. I do not believe in stars or professional athletes getting by with crimes (dog fighting included) because they are famous and can buy their way out of situations, and he didn’t do that! He did the crime and he paid the time! He served his sentence and now he should get to hit the play button and resume his life!
I am a little unclear on whether Michael Vick and the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell met Wednesday in New Jersey or are actually meeting today as scheduled. Either way, waiting is frustrating! I am not a football enthusiast per se. I do not closely follow the sport and I cannot tell you any stats on any players or talk like one of the guys, but I can tell you, no one person should have as much control and power over someone’s life/destiny as Goodell is getting over Vick’s. All I can say is Goodell had better walk the straight and narrow the rest of his days! If he slips up once and does anything, I pray one man doesn’t descend on him and decide his fate and the rest of his life based on one indiscretion. In my opinion, that is what he is doing to Vick!
I’m praying for Michael Vick! I hope he is back in place, doing his thing, entertaining millions next season. And I hope he is doing it with the team of his choice!

Michael Vick is probably close to being cooked this year. Its really unfair, but now they are saying even if he is re-instated that he may have to serve a four game suspension. Goodell and Vick did meet on Wednesday and they said that he is going to be re-instated on Monday or Tuesday. But still all the analyst and media outlets are letting it know that they want him to be suspended 4 games because they say it in every single report, and its not even a fact yet. But Vick’s attorney and Agent are fighting the suspension saying that its somewhat double jeopardy and that he has already served plenty of penalties. The bottom line is that if he is suspended 4 games. He probably will not play this year.
Hi Kendall. That is so very unfair. He committed a crime, not a football crime, a crime the judicial system made him pay for. He didn’t commit a crime against the NFL yet; they are ALSO punishing him and making him pay for the same crime twice! I hate that! They are really, really flexing their muscles and power. I would guess that Michael Vick is cooperating because he wants to play again but I would also imagine how humiliating and degrading this whole process has been for him. And they seem to want to keep kicking him while he is down.

I still don’t understand how Vick is treated like this for his involvement with dog fighting, but Donte Stallworth is getting off lighter and he killed a man. Not only did he take a human life, he did it while under the influence! Whatever law that allowed him to do this and only get 30 days in jail needs to be looked at. On the outside it seems like he got away with it because he was willing to pay off the family. I would say if Goodell compares the two a lifetime ban may be in order for Stallworth.

Vick killed DOGS…. DOGS folks.. animals = almost 2 years in jail, and possible suspension on top of that and get murdered by media outlets such as ESPN.
Stallworth killed a Father, Brother, Husband, and Son that was human while driving drunk = 24 days in jail plus license suspended for life.
What is the world coming to!!!! Again… we are talking about DOGS! I bet Brett Farve is out fishing or hunting deer as we speak…

I think I heard that Michael is going around the country talking about why It is best not to get into Dog Fighting. This is double punishment. While he is giving lectures he could be out on the field practicing.

If I break into someone’s house and go to jail for it, I shouldn’t have to go around the country talking about why you shouldn’t break into someone’s house! Poor Michael!
All I want to see is him playing again real soon….I love football. I must say it was a crime and he has served his time and probable more time then most.
The only reason the commissioner gave him the suspension on top of the jail time he already served is because he KNEW it would make it really hard for a team to sign him knowing that 1. He may have the PETA people with signs at every game. 2. Teams may not want to sign him knowing they have to wait for 5 weeks before he can play.
The thing I hate the very most about this whole Vick thing more than him getting suspended the extra 5 games… more than a team not signing him yet… more than ANYTHING is the way these black ESPN writers and black sports analyst RIP on him to to fit in with their white anchor. Its is absolutely stupid! You would think no matter what ESPN told them or what their white partner is saying that they would back him! But I guess they have to worry about their own job….
