How Disrespectful To Heckle The President of the United States!
We can be divided on his health care reform. We can think his plan won’t work. We can even not like the man but… to heckle the President of the United States, at an address to a joint session of Congress, is WRONG! So very disrespectful! As I sat and watched and heard the boos and shout outs, I got mad but he held his own! Regardless of whatever, he is the HPIC! (Head Person In Charge) How dare they! We can debate his ideas, plan and promises all day long, but at the end of that same day, he is still due respect.
I love watching/hearing Obama and I do get nervous when he makes promises. I want him to succeed. Period. I question how some of the fine tuning (as he said) is going to play out but the hutspa (an Oprah word meaning “guts”) he demonstrates is enough to make anyone want to root him on because his success equates to our country’s success. Last night, he was a different Obama! He was a man succinctly stating his vision for this country’s future, he stood firm on his beliefs and he didn’t care who liked it or didn’t like it. There were no wimps present at the microphone last night! Good job! If it all doesn’t fall into place as he plans, he’ll try something else. Has any President had a perfect, fail proof 4 years? No, and neither will Obama.
Last night’s Capitol Hill show was amazing. Seeing the blatant disrespect and disregard on so many faces shocked me. How did some of these folk get these positions with such ugly attitudes? Kudos for all of those democrats and republicans who disagreed with Obama but were still big enough to applaud when he did say something they agreed with and big enough to maintain their composure when he said something they didn’t agree with.
I want to know, what do you think about the conduct of some of the members of congress who were there last night, and acted out the way they did? Wasn’t it a travesty? Share your thoughts.
Holla Back!
OMG!!!! Yet another thing to be embarrassed about living in SC (for the time being)!!!! It was so out of order and totally uncalled for, but I like how our president responded with dignity and calm.
You ’bout to leave SC?
Not only was this disrespectful but I thought it was terriable how the school would not let him speak at their school about a month ago. People are beginning to show how prejudice they really are. We have known it for some time but it is coming to light now. What is so bad about it they don’t care that it shows that they are prejudice. They want to act like this only goes on in the southern states. This does not happen up north. How many times have I heard this. There are people right here in my office that are very prejudice but they are kind to me to my face. What surprised me so was one of them came to see me while I was sick, at my home, even bought me some juice.
@delores goodson – is it possible that they aren’t prejudice? I mean, coming to your house to see you and bringing you juice…maybe they aren’t prejuice!
Wow, what can I say. Thank the divine creator of the universe that someone called this America hating Acorn graduate who 53% were stupid enough to vote for, on his BS. If the election were held today this guy would lose, lose, lose, even to that lousy candidate McCain. It ain’t prejudice, it’s America, love it or leave it. And Snotty Barry wouldn’t be trying to impose the government in every garage sale and every car buying decision if he loved it, he hates it. P.S., McCain and the Democrats want to grant amnesty, thus giving illegals free health care. Duh!

Louis
I take it that you didn’t vote for him???
Hi Louis Hunting. Thank you for your comment. I am anxious to hear all comments regarding this issue.
I read your Martin Army Hospital experience(because I just had one) and clicked on this posting, well, just for your understanding, I am Jewish on my mothers side and hutspa, is really spelled Chutzpah, and it is not a Oprah word, just a word she used, from the Hebrew language. You make really good point(and I totally agree with you) but be careful labeling it as a Oprah word, because those of us who are Jewish(my mother who also read this post)may take offense, because the hardships her people and my people have been through, they take pride in their language and culture. Shalom!
