#1 I'm guilty. If I'm expecting a call or go walking late at night I have my phone.
#2 I think it's OK to correct someone in private when things are calm in a nice voice as to not offend them or hurt their feelings. Some people just don't care that they don't talk well.
#3 I think it's the devil causing people to drive like this and it causes my road rage....pray for me! Why can't they just get in the lane they need to be in?
#4 I don't know why people do this, it is soooooooo aggrevating.
#5 a bit ODC...I would have left 4 questions, I like even numbers/
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3982','Karol Ann','#1 I\'m guilty.
Hey Kathy,

Long time, no communication. I've been busy like a mug (whatever that phrase means) but thank God I still have a job.

Regarding mispronouncing and simply using wrong words, I think if you have any type of close relationship with a habitual offender you should see it as your responsibility to tell them. Make sure you tell them in a tone that won't put them on the defensive and please try not to do it in the company of others, unless it's part of your dinner table conversation at home. Chances are, they just don't know, as opposed to choosing to speak incorrectly. For example - Regardless vs. Irregardless. We've all probably heard both of them. The latter is incorrect.

You also have to consider the region they live in. If you're in an area where bad speaking is the norm, you may have to think about choosing that as one of your battles.

For the lane changing issue it doesn't bother me nearly as much as people that don't use their turn signals or don't use them until right when they're turning. That one really gets me. If I'm in traffic and someone looks like they want to get over in my lane and they don't have on their signal, I DO NOT let them in until they turn it on. And if they don't, oh well. That is our only form of vehicle to vehicle communication. Hand gestures don't count.

I get the phone thing just about every day too. I politely tell them I have no way of knowing who called, considering the amount of people that work in our office. It usually makes them check their voice mails - which they should've in the first place.

OCD??? I think that's probably not true.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3967','Monique Davis','Hey Kathy,\r\n\r\nLong time, no communication.
