I Got My Refund From My Wedding Pictures Thanks To Facebook!!!
I got it, I got it, I got it! I finally got my refund from my wedding photographer for pictures I had taken at my July 14, 2007 wedding! How you may ask! Facebook!!! I tried everything from repeatedly calling and using different area codes to filing a claim with Better Business Bureau to calling a lawyer. Nothing worked until I got on FB and began corresponding with the right people. I won’t say anymore because it would just be negative and shine a bad light on a now resolved situation.
My purpose for telling you this is to say, once again, I love Facebook!

I’m so glad that you have received your refund. It’s sad that you had to go through all that mess just to get your money back. Taking pictures on your wedding day is suppose to be special. Even though you never received your pictures, you have learn a valuable lesson from the experience, when in doubt, look up Facebook !!!!!
The big lesson learned, always, always, always get a written agreement with both parties signatures and, even though I got a generic one after asking for it, always make them give you a good valid professional receipt before or as you hand them the money! You might need it to give to a lawyer!

I cant believe it took SO long! And I also cant believe that none of the other things you tried worked. Good Ol Facebook came through! AAhhhh! I guess it truly does bring people together! lol. Isnt it just amazing how many people you can find that you havent talked to in many years…or in your case mom, people youve been NEEDINg to talk to but couldnt find the right connects?!? For anyone on here that doesnt have a FB account, you should get one! I remember once upon a time it was only for college students, now everyone can get in on it. I will say, it is somewhat addictive though….
Wow!!!!! I’m very, very glad for you. My compliments to you for taking the high road in all of this. I’m not sure I would have been as patient for over two years considering the money that was spent.
Unfortunately, I can’t do Facebook, My Space or any of the current hot sites. They’re all blocked by IT here at work, and when I get home I go into wife and mother mode which does not allow for surfing or much of any other computer time. But for those of you that do, get the most out of it. One day I’ll join you.
Facebook needs a new slogan… If the Lawyers cant help, if filing claims cant help, even if going to the police cant help… Facebook is here for you!

I am glad for you but I know you still have some real good picture, I have seen some of them on your brother’s gallery. They may be a little different from the one you wanted but you still have a lot of good memories.
